Today’s show is all about perspective. We’ve got Rafael Nowicki, Polish-American immigrant and entrepreneur, owner of Biomedical Support Services, Inc. He’s got an incredible story of how he escaped communist Poland with the equivalent of $8.00 in his pocket and made his way to England and then Zachary, Louisiana. Big thanks to the Mayor of Zachary for giving up his fireside chat to celebrate the diverse voices in this great city through celebrating Polish-American heritage month this October.

As we prepare for the winter months in Louisiana, where it gets cold and still somehow humid, where families get together and celebrate and some may quarrel and experience anxiety, where we close our accounting books for the year and begin again—this show will serve as a reminder that it could always be worse AND that it could always get better if you are tenacious and pursue your dreams.

The weather is a perfect 65-70 degrees and sunny, and I’m in the booth with a hot cup of coffee. Life is good. Let’s get into it.
